There are a variety of ways to contribute your time and skills. Volunteering with AA strengthens our community and helps others on their journey to sobriety. Whether you’re interested in event planning, outreach, or supporting meetings, there’s a role for everyone.

The District 22 Monthly GSR and Service Position Meeting is the 1st Sunday of the Month at Zion Lutheran Church – Elgin, Illinois

 

 

How to Become a Volunteer

Volunteering with Alcoholics Anonymous is open to all members who wish to support our mission of sobriety and community outreach. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to help and a commitment to AA principles.

Meeting Support

General Service Representative (GSR)

Support AA meetings by becoming a GSR of your home group.

✓ Gain leadership experiencess about recovery resources

✓ Build connections with local partners

✓ Help newcomers find support

Outreach Initiatives

  • Cooperation with the Professional Community (CPC) & Public Information (PI) Committee, Corrections Committee & Treatment Committee

Join outreach efforts to spread awareness about AA in the community. Volunteers assist with distributing literature and connecting with local organizations.
